Dear Parents & Students,

For more than two decades Dance Connection has provided students with an exciting performing experience through our annual recital. It's a chance to shine in front of family and friends that they anticipate with nervous excitement. Our dance recital offers students a professionally directed performance that allows them to present to their family and friends the result of a year's hard work, dedication and progress.

A big part of the dance training process includes learning through performance. This experience helps build self-esteem, self-assurance and contributes to a sense of confidence. Although performance opportunities can help prepare some students for a possible career in dance, they also contribute to children's success in non-dance activities. That onstage experience can result in better school presentations, improved social skills and strong interview skills for future college or job opportunities.

Listed below are some important reminders:

Final preparations: for our annual recital is nearing completion. Attendance is very important as dances are finishing up.

Costumes: are arriving and will be distributed soon. Please make sure your accounts are paid in full so that your dancer can receive her costume and be allowed to perform in recital.

Studio closed: The studio will be closed for classes from June 22nd-July 25th.

Fall schedule & registration: will be available soon. Continuing students may register for Fall at any time. Or, Fall registration will take place at the studio on Sat. Aug. 1st. from 10-1.

Dance Camp: will be July 28th, 29th & 30th. Registration has begun! Size class is limited, so register now

Recital Dress Rehearsal: Will be Wed. June 17th. at the Mesa Arts Center.

Recital: there will be 3 performances; 1:00, 4:00 & 7:oo Company show. Please check the window with costume pictures for your dancer's performance time.

Tickets: Go on sale at the studio Wed. May 20th at 10:00am!

Recital Pictures: A professional photographer will be coming to the studio on Tuesday June 2nd. They will photograph all classes and individual dancers. Please come to the group picture even if you do not plan to purchase them, so that all of the dancers will be in the class picture. More information will be coming regarding scheduling and prices.

Video Taping: No video taping or flash photography is allowed during the performances. You may video at the dress rehearsal only. There will be a professional video company that will record all performances. You will be able to purchase them at a reasonable price. This will enable everyone to enjoy the show.
