Performance Groups

Sugar Babes: Our youngest competitive group to join the Dance Connection dance company.  They range in age from 6-8 years old and should excel in Tap and Jazz.  They are required to take 7 hours of dance per week, which include: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Tumbling.  They compete locally two to three times per year and are required to attend one dance convention. 

Whiz Kids: Dancers range in age from 8-10 year olds. Whiz Kids are required to take a minimum of 8 hours per week in all styles of dance.  They compete throughout the year and need to attend at least two dance conventions.  They are also expected to attend our Company's National Competition in the summer.  

Kommotion Kids: Dancers range in age from 9-12 year olds and train and compete at an advanced level in all styles of dance.  They are required to take 10 hours of dance per week in: Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Stretch and Conditioning.  They also attend two to three dance conventions throughout the year, and three to four competitions, including Nationals in the summer. 

Junior Company: Dancers range in age from 12-14 years old.  They compete at an advanced level and take 12-14 hours per week in all styles of dance. 

Senior Company: Dancers range in age from 13-18 years old.  They compete at an advanced level and take 12-14 hours per week in all styles of dance.
